Meanwhile, these idiots got in trouble for banging on the instruments on the second floor of the Qu Fu hotel lobby. But they were under the watchful (and tolerant?) cardboard eyes of our ancestor...

FORD!

And the vocalist was amazin

Here's the instrumentals

Back at the Qu Fu lobby during lunch - they had entertainment going on, it was quite classy

Vanishing point!

Here's another market. Yes, they're everywhere.

Here's the Kung well, where only the Kung family could draw their water. Ironically, there were people there taking pictures, and they wouldn't move out of our way. I had to shoot fast and accurately so the bastards didn't get in the way of the picture.

Haha...my brother didn't know why he was following my directions

This was a stage, I'm pretty sure

Lucky color

Hi mom! You're in the way, but it's fine

I don't actually like this picture

And in this shot, the viewing angle's just fine

This was interesting, but I with I had a wider viewing angle...

The open courtyard was perfect for a kung fu battle

Yeah...those pillars r0xx0r

Here's us in front of the main temple

Sending the incense to the heavens

Paying our respects

Kung!

Here's another case where the trashcan caused me problems...I could crop it out this time, though

if only I wasn't too lazy to photoshop that trash can out...

Supposedly, when the emperor visited the Confucius temple, they would cover these pillars with red silk because they were so exquisite they might make the emperor jealous

There's an interesting story to go with these.

Check it out...the inner level of the Confucius temple has a huge set of animals on the rooftop - equal in number to the Emperor's forbidden city, I think. Actually, it's probably short one or two, since there aren't twelve animals up there.

These were at the base of some sort of building thing

Here's another one, but it's ginormous-er

Here's a turtle thing...aww...it's so cute...except it's like 4 tons

These trees have supports for some reason...

There's a room full of stories about my ancestor

Woot...Gate signs

Right, it's a good shot, but the green stuff is just disgusting

I rather like this shot.

Interesting...composition, I guess. It's off, but hey, it's not like I can just go back there and fix it.

What the...in what order are these posted? Anyway, here's a typical market

Inside the Confucius temple

Fruits basket

Poor horse...they have laws preventing horses from being outside if it's too hot in America.

A chandelier in the Qu Fu lobby

Here's a market stall, sans the person trying to sell you something

Hey, that looks like a really really good version of the one my bro bought.

Woot! It turns into a horse! Hot damn!

Then there are some fish. Evidently, this is a commonly used template or something.

I like black and white

Check it out...that's really traditional, and I have no problems imagining Mt. Tai, on picturesque days, looking like that.

Mmm, texture

And here come a series of paintings I wish I had...

They were offering "Foot Massotherapy" in the Qu Fu lobby. Sounds...painful.
