Dream wolves ghosting through the night
Whose yellow eyes dart and pierce with eternal sight
And ears that curve and twist like an idle rite
Fur barely rustling at this awful height
On the summits of the mountains of the Wolf Dream...

Wait, why am I posting pics in Qu Fu? My xanga entry is waaay behind. Anyway, Qu Fu is the home of my ancestors.
The one picture where my sister's hair is not in her face is also the picture where she's closing her eyes. Well, no one could tell if I hadn't said anything. Guess it's a good picture.
Here's our guides. On the left is Michael, who is very unhappy because he's afraid of heights. On the right is Ford, who wore a Ford Mustang shirt so you could remember his name.
This was on the way to the railcars to take us to the top of Mt. Tai. The other way up Tai Shan was the 7000 stairs that the emperor used to take to pray at the top. I'm doing it when I come back.
Wow. This was off the freakin' charts on the cuteness scale. I mean, I'm a guy and I felt the need to gush at it. I'll see if I can get a video online...
Then they drove armored Jeeps into the enclosure and threw some ducks out. This duck escaped - stayed in the deep water where the tigers didn't like it, then escaped in the underbrush. But where will he go inside the pen...? Sooner or later...sooner or later...
Tigers are huge animals. Having so many pacing back and forth (clearly unused to the small living quarters, unlike America's zoos) is kind of unnerving.
