Mystical "I don't know where the *#$& I am" Adventures

AKA Getting to Weijia's house

Well, let's see...where did it begin?

Ah, that's right. Detention.

Time's up, I leave Detention at 2:30 and sit around to see if Sir can drive me to Weijia's house. No good, but it was a risk I was willing to take. I eat part of lunch and get up to leave at around 2:50.

Exiting SHS with my trusty mapquest directions, I walk That Other Direction (hmm...have to think about this one...oh yeah, it's West) on Route 22. Keep walking and occasionally running. There is a plant nursery that walk past and then run back to in order to ask where I-83 is. Two nice ladies tell me to keep walking west, so west I go. While running, I must have splashed myself with mud. Walking through the grass and mud makes my sandals and feet filthy. I don't notice this until later...

I think I walked about a mile when I stopped at Michael's and ordered a hot dog and water. Ate there and left, sipping the water. Just made it to the edge of 22 when a friend of mine who is in a car sees me. I ask him for a ride, and am woefully unprepared to instruct him on where to go.

Friend: Do you have Weijia's phone number?
Me: Uhh...no. That was a major oversight, wasn't it?
Friend: Yeah...alright, do you know where he lives?
Me: Vernon Hills.
Friend: Alright, but do you know the name of the neighborhood he lives in?
Me: No...
So...neighborhoods have names, eh...
Friend: I'm just going to call 411, alright?
Me: That's a good idea.
Friend: Do you know the names of his parents?
Me: Uh...no.

But by pure luck, or my friend's skillz in drivery, we end up at the correct street. Well, that's what we thought.

Friend: Are you sure it's 22 Fiore?
Me: Yeah.

The addresses go directly from 13 Fiore to 26 Fiore. Very confusing. Turns out it was S Fiore we had to go to, and both S and N Fiore had their own address numbers.

Anyway, I thanked him and entered Weijia's house, where everybody was like, "did you really walk?" and I was like, "yeah, about a mile" and, "Is there someplace I can wash my feet?" It was very strange: the first thing I did upon entering Weijia's house was notice my feet were filthy and clean them in one of his sinks. Upon entering the basement, there was loud music, cards, pool, and ping pong.

It was fun getting beaten in everything I tried my hand at.

Not.

But seriously, I had a good time, and I hope everybody else did too.

Ahh I see you're typing now. This is good (er, seeing as I can't talk to you online anymore *sniffle* damn the addiction! *nervous twitch* damn the withdrawal symptoms)

Yesterday was fun, wasn't it? Hehe I was actually thinking about that, how you didn't know Weijia's number, nor have you been to Grosse Pointe before. But good that you got there (however that happened...)

Arrgh! Damnit! I mean "That post was by Yaz". I should probably specify that.

Wow... even though the "can't talk online anymore" part should give it away... er... it's all part of withdrawal, you see...

Ah, Yaz, how nice of you to notice my humble blog. Yes, I've taken up typing because I forgot to bring the camera along, even though I meant to. Oh well. I guess I'm going to have to get some pics from Serene, otherwise I won't be able to say "I photoblog!" anymore.

Well, not that I do anyway. But I want to keep my options open, so...

Oh, by the way...there is an egregious error on your xanga; you forgot to mention me. I would be hurt on the inside except that I know you would only do something so monstrously wrong on accident.
